For Data Collectors

Introduction

To submit data, you need to send it from your Android device to the Project Coordinator portal.

Requirements

To submit data, you must:

• Have an activated account and be able to log in to the Acorn Data Collection Tool
• Have collected a farmer profile and have it marked as complete
• Have a working internet connection

Steps

To submit data:

1. Open the Acorn Data Collection Tool

2. Select 'Farmers' in the bottom navigation bar

3. Swipe down on the screen to refresh the data

4. Select 'Submit' from the message at the top of the screen

   <aside> ⚠️ After clicking 'Submit', the system will check whether the farmer's submitted plot overlaps with any other plots in the system.

Result

After submitting data:

• If no overlap is detected, the farmer profile will be submitted and visible to Project Coordinators.
• If overlap was detected, you can either:
  • Fix the polygon overlap immediately in-app and submit the profile again.
  • Contact your project coordinator and ask them to re-assign the farmer profile to another data collector. That data collector can then resolve the polygon overlap.
